Recording Lived Experiences

The act of listening to and recording the stories of those who have suffered as a result of our conflict are profound privileges and a significant responsibility. In Ireland and Britain, where the legacy of conflict runs deep, these narratives are not just personal histories; they are threads woven into the fabric of communities, carrying immense emotional, social, and political weight.

Our goal in this module is to equip ourselves with a robust ethical framework, ensuring that our work is not only informative but also respectful, trauma-informed, and ultimately, contributes to healing and empowerment.
